In 2005, the annual nationwide cost (in the USA) to treat hospitalized patients with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections was estimated to be between $3.2 billion to $4.2 billion, according to a analysis presented at the annual meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). Xeralife, with its patented T-Zap technology, is able fight MRSA infections.
